| In het schilderswerk van Yvonne Rooding speelt het kleurgebruik een belangrijke rol. Dit staat symbool voor een diep gevoel of gewaarwording, welke bewust vertaald wordt in kleur en vorm. De stijl typeert ze als etherisch abstract. Het weergeven van begrippen (zoals bijvoorbeeld liefde, manipulatie, integratie, verplaatsing, mannelijk/vrouwelijk, enzovoorts) zijn uitgaanspunten in haar werk. Haar voorkeur gaat uit naar gemengde techniek op papier in combinatie met transparante verf. |  |
| In tegenstelling tot haar schilderijen zijn haar zeefdrukken meestal
figuratief. Centraal staat het menselijke lichaam en dan met name van de vrouw. Iedere
zeefdruk kent te allen tijde een beperkte oplage om de exclusiviteit te waarborgen. Voor electronische producten ontwerpt Yvonne Rooding de visuele onderdelen. De uitdaging ligt hierbij om te komen tot een doelmatige grafische en illustratieve vormgeving ondanks de technische beperkingen van de electronische media. Aspecten die spelen bij zowel multimedia cd-roms als Internet web-sites. In samenwerking met John-Gerard Janssen heeft ze al diverse projecten voor Golden Gate Productions gecreëerd, waaronder de virtuele galerie waarin u zich nu bevindt: Galerie Q. | Use of color is an important part in the paintings of Yvonne Rooding. The works represent a deep feeling or awareness, conscious translated into color and form. She calls her style etherical abstract. The representation of conceptions (such as love, manipulation, integration, shifting, masculine/feminine) are the starting points for her work. Her preference is mixed media on paper in combination with transparent paint. | |
| Her silkscreen prints are, in contradiction to her paintings, mostly a
representation of objective form. Central is the human body, mostly of woman. The prints
are limited in number to guaranty exclusiveness. Yvonne Rooding also designs the visual parts of electronic products. She finds a challenge in creating suitable graphic and illustrative designs within the technical limitations and possibilities of the electronic media. She realized several projects in cooperation with John-Gerard Janssen for Golden Gate Productions. One of them being the virtual gallery where you are now: Gallery Q.
